1. At PAINT ME A PICTURE, our programs are most definitely a “hands on” approach, with teacher-directed and child-centered activities. Yet, if a child chooses another direction and to “do his own thing”, that’s ok. Support and instruction will be given to supplement the child’s decision. We encourage individual thinking and decision making with a focus on age appropriate projects, a tune up of fine motor skills and most importantly, to insure that each child feels great about what they have created.
2. Individual attention is something we feel strongly about. Class size is limited. Enrollment is on a first come first serve basis.
3. Even though smocks will be provided, kids may get paint on their clothing. Although paints say “washable”, not all art materials wash out that easily, so please dress your future artists in something they won’t have to worry about so they can focus on enjoying and creating.
4. All classes are separation classes with the exception of Petite Artistes
5. Missed classes can be made up anytime within the session. Please call ahead to schedule your child’s make-up class.
PAINT
ME A PICTURE has been a life long dream.
For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to
have my own art studio…a place where I can teach kids about
art…a place where children have fun exploring their own
imaginations while appreciating their creativity…. a place
where children can feel comfortable to be who they are.
Art is a process…it’s an exploration through one’s
wondrous imagination. As
we go along this journey, we will learn about the elements of
art: color, line, shape, texture and form and how to use our
senses to appreciate “all sorts of everything” around us
through children’s books, art history, music and dance.
My philosophy is such that I want children to think not
just what’s in the box but what is in back of the box, on top
of the box, under the box and behind the box…the whole 360.
Paint Me A Picture is not only about teaching art, it’s
about promoting creative thinking which is essential in helping
our children succeed in today’s educational environment. I am so excited to finally make my dream come true so why
don’t you come by and “PAINT ME A PICTURE”
