CLASSES
Petite
Artiste (Mommy and Me)
We will
have lots of fun discovering the wonderful world of colors,
shapes, animal and numbers as we squish and squash playdoh,
enjoy listening to children’s storybooks and mess around with
paints, collage and glue. All
this while we listen to music, parade and play with instruments,
dance our socks off and make new and special friendships.
Play
and Paint (snack included)
This
class has been developed for your child to successfully separate
for the first time and have fun while they do it. The children
will “play and paint” with the easels, playdoh, exploratory
paint tables, glue and markers, in addition to enjoying our
puzzles, games, toys and story time.
Each class will have a follow up art project that relates
to the color or theme of that week.
What a great time is had by all!
Breakfast
Buddies (Bagels
included)
For
those moms who like to get a quick stat to your morning, this is
the perfect class for you! Drop
off your child for our “breakfast club” and let us start off
your child’s day with bagels, juice and milk before we get our
creative juices spilling over to the easels, playdoh table and
our exploratory paint area.
All this followed up by story time and a child-centered
art activity. What a
great way to start everyone’s day!
My
Art Class (pizza
included)
We
will have lots of fun experimenting with a wide variety of
techniques such as painting, printing, drawing and collage in
addition to easel painting, play doh, clay exploratory paint
tables, glue and oil pastels.
Each class will have a follow-up art project and story
time that relates to the theme and color of the week through the
world of color, line and shape.
Puzzles, games and music will be incorporated into each
session. A great
time to be had by all.
Creative
Cartooning and Clay Creations
Using
characters inspired by your child’s imagination, we will learn
to take our cartoon characters and develop them into simple
cartoons. Spiderman,
Disney, T.V. characters and Dr. Seuss books will be used to jump
start our creative imaginations.
We will then take our cartoon characters and turn them
into clay creations using a variety of clay techniques such as
slab, pinch and coil methods.
Of course, there will be plenty of painting, drawing and
printing in this
class as well.
Passion
for Fashion
Hands
on fun and self expression are the focus in this class.
Your young fashion designer’s imagination will be
ignited as she is taught where and how to look for sources of
inspiration to stir her ideas, such as magazines, nature, photos
and famous fashionistas. She
will learn to use color, fabric, texture, and pattern to make
her ideas come to life through the development of the sketch to
final design.
Studio
in Art
This
class is an introduction to the foundations of art (drawing,
shading, perspective and color theory).
Students will get acquainted with works of well known
artists and their styles of painting as we explore realistic,
non-objective and abstract art.
Students will complete finished paintings on canvas as
well as weekly drawings and painting sketches by the end of our
“studio in art” course. Our young artists will be exposed to
a wide variety of art materials, including water color,
acrylics, oil pastels, clay, etc.
Girls
Just Want To Have Fun
This class is for the girls who
really want to do girl’s stuff like painting seashells while
listening to music or perhaps creating jewelry, keepsake boxes,
decorating hand-made beads, bookmaking,scrapbooking, sewing and
creating in clay. Floral
painting, color mixing, papier-mache, clay etc. will also be
included in our fun filled “for girls only” gathering.
Matisse’s
Masterpeice
Let’s
explore the masterful artwork of some famous artists such as Van
Gogh, Picasso, and O’Keefe and of course, Matisse.
All this as it relates to what our budding artists will
learn through their imaginations, creativity and drawing as well
as painting, watercolor, sculpture and collage.
