FINAL’S
WEEKEND

12, 2021
After
a
one-year
hiatus
due to
Covid
precautions,
Final’s
Weekend
returned
to the
Casino
under
clear
skies
and
sunny
weather.
And
what a
return
it was!
Friday
night’s
event
was
attended
by over
80
spectators
cheering
on all
four
tennis
matches,
three of
which
came
down to
a
10-point
super
tie-breaker
score.
Saturday
and
Sunday
events
were
equally
attended
with
intense
competition
with
several
tie-break
decisions
as well.
Finals
Weekend
at the
Casino
is the
traditional
end of
the
intra-club
tournaments
of both
men and
women
competitions
as well
as mixed
doubles.
The
weekend
events
are
complete
with
chair
umpires,
line
callers
and an
ending
ceremony
with
awards
It’s
always
“a
fantastic
time had
by
all”
but this
year’s
finals
weekend
convincingly
demonstrated
that
strong
competition
and
active
club
participation
is as
alive
and well
in 2021
as it
has been
in
previous
years at
the
Casino.
