Set
in a historic building is this
fine continental restaurant.
Built in 1862 as a bank, it
later became a printing company,
and finally, in 1976, a
restaurant. It still possesses
all the charm and character of
its past. When you enter, your
eyes will feast on a beautiful
display of their daily specials
that will definitely whet your
appetite. As you go into the
main dining room, there’s a
display of homemade focaccia
bread, a large wheel of cheese,
bruschetta and homemade
desserts.
Owner Dennis Liberatos and Lino
manage the restaurant that is
decorated with unusual antiques
that they have collected over
the years. Chef Fernando Machado
heads the busy kitchen staff
that specializes in seafood and
seasonal German dishes. The
varied menu is complimented by
an extensive list of daily
specials that includes
antipasto, a large serving of
assorted meats, cheeses and
vegetables, grouper, sauteed
with fresh chopped tomatoes,
chives and a touch of cream, and
delicate trout florentine over
spinach. Homemade desserts
include decadent chocolate
mousse and a sweet key lime. The
international wine list is
reasonably priced with
selections available by the
glass.
