Table-side
cooking is alive and delicious at Arturo's, where, even on busy
evenings, the staff prepares certain dishes and sauces at your
table. Owner Antonio D'Anna proudly circulates the elegant
dining room either chatting with customers or preparing a dish.
His love for this restaurant is very apparent. He worked as a
waiter here for many years before buying the place 15 years ago.
Antonio's
wife, Mimma, works in the kitchen, cooking regional Italian
favorites that includes Veal Sorrentino with eggplant and
mozzarella in a light sauce, Chicken Scarpariello with sweet
Italian sausage, Jumbo Prawns stuffed with crabmeat and topped
with toasted breadcrumbs, and homemade Fettucine with shiitake,
porcini and portobello mushrooms in a savory brown sauce. An
antipasto cart displays numerous items - from asparagus to
zucchini and a dessert cart displays the most luscious cakes and
pastries. The mostly Italian wine list is made up of quality
selections at reasonable prices.
Service
at Arturo's is professional, yet friendly. Antonio's sons, Tommy
and Simone work here on busy weekends and have the same love for
the business as their father.
Classical
Italian decor with tall tapered candles and fresh flowers on the
tables, comfortable upholstered chairs and original oil
paintings make dining at Arturo's a special treat any night of
the week.
