COMPLAINTS FOR LOW FLYING PLANES

DATE: ___________________________

TIME OF INCIDENT: _________________________

Dear FAA Representative:

My name is ________________________.

I live at  ___________________________Garden City, NY  11530.

I am writing to formally complain about the low flying planes and the intolerable noise levels directly over my home.   The planes are so low, that our windows actually rattle and shake and we can clearly see emblems and identifying numbers on the plane.  This is unacceptable considering we are well over 8 miles from JFK.

We are asking, in writing, that there be some type of investigation into these flights.  Planes such as the subject of this email are systematically flying at altitudes well below where they should be.  They are ruining the quality of life in our community, keeping us awake at night, and disrupting any type of outdoor activity.

If you could please help us to resolve this situation, it would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Garden City Resident

COMPLAINTS FOR NIGHT TIME ARRIVALS (11PM to 7AM)

DATE: ___________________________

TIME OF INCIDENT: _________________________

Dear FAA Representative

My name is ________________________.

I live at  ___________________________Garden City, NY  11530.

I am writing to formally complain about flights tracking over Garden City at late night hours.   It is my understanding that planes should not fly over our area into Runway 22L between the hours of 11pm and 7am, unless there are exceptional circumstances and all other runway choices have been exhausted.

We are asking, in writing, that there be some type of investigation into these night time flights.  This is keeping us awake in the evenings and we have gone many nights without sleep due to the noise.  Flights continue well past midnight into the early hours of the morning.  The engine roars systematically wake up my family and disturb our sleep on a regular basis.

If you could please help us to resolve this situation, it would be much appreciated.

Thank you.
