Mormando purchased North Levittown Lanes in
February of 1954. These were fast moving
and exciting times, homes were going up all
over Levittown. North was a 16 lane
center with pin boys, built in the middle of a
"Village Green", nine of which that
were built as Levittown took its' final form.
South Levittown Lanes, built on the same
setting just south of Hempstead Turnpike, was
purchased a year later and Westbury Bowl was
purchased in 1961. Each, now feature 36
lanes with full snack counters and
sport/entertainment bars. Nick's
commitment to the sport of bowling is as
strong today as it has ever been.

Association of America from 1974-1976.
Traveling extensively on behalf of the BPAA,
he represented the bowling industry with
distinction. As sight selection
chairman, Nick found and negotiated for the
property where the "International Bowling
Hall of Fame & Museum now stands in St.

force in bowling, offering time, experience,
and vision on the national scene.

Mormando took responsibility for "Day to

internationally renowned Management School and
managing one of their largest Chicago Bowling
Centers. Frank lead his staff through

service has long been the Mormando's mission statement,
and they have worked hard on delivering outstanding
customer service for nearly 50 years. Quickness of
response to customers needs is simple, as our entire
management team is in their respected centers daily with
Frank and Paul at the home office in North Levittown
Lanes. Our 3 centers, all within 10 minutes
driving time of one another, are the LARGEST "Independant"
group of centers on Long Island. We work hard to
exceed our customers expectations and to respond quickly
to their questions and concerns.
Junior bowling is
where we begin our "life-long"
relationship with many of our customers.
Each boasts an outstanding junior league
program, offering weekday afternoon
"house junior leagues" and school
affiliated leagues almost each day of the
week, Saturday Morning Junior Leagues, PAL
programs on Fridays Afternoons and Saturday
Mornings, and Adult/Child Leagues on Sunday
Mornings and Evenings. Each center has
an interested staff and "Junior
Coordinator" who together with the
General Manager, administer to each Junior
League. Children enjoy the attention of
instructors, look forward to "Special Fun
Days" where they might get their face
painted (Halloween) or have a visit by the
"Big Guy" himself (SANTA of course),
or on any day receive a "Star Card"
for being a good sport.
We enhance the
bowling experience and make each visit to the
center exciting. While our Junior
bowlers are improving their bowling skills
they also are learning important
"People-Skills". Our lifetime
relationships with our customers has begun.
Many of our
Junior bowlers participate in the outstanding
tournament schedule provided by the Long
Island Junior Bowling Association, the
sanctioning body of Junior bowling, and in
several of the "House-Tournaments"
we schedule throughout the year. If top
notch competition is what our kids and their
parents want, we make it available to them.
league schedule is complete, with something for
everyone. The attention paid to our junior bowlers
is magnified by the demands of today's high tech adult
bowlers. Our center managers all bowl in leagues.

better be "walking the walk". Honesty

No one offers
a more complete, challenging or professionally run
tournament schedule like North and South Levittown
Whether you are a 120 average bowler to the 230
average "Scratch" bowler, you can always find
a tournament that suits you.
A sense of community is what it all
comes down to and everyone is welcome to settle down
with us. No one can satisfy everyone all the time,
but you will not find a more professional staff working
harder to reach that ultimate goal than the employees of
North Levittown and South Levittown Lanes.
Since many of our loyal bowlers are
also very good customers for their respected
communities, we may in the future, offer advertising
opportunities for our site. If you are interested
in reaching thousands of potential customers, please
fell free to e-mail us and ask what programs we plan on
instituting in the future.
